I had a 30w Blackbird with 6v6's, and now I have a 40w Fargen Dual Classic with 6L6's. In both cases I used NOS Jan Phillips tubes. The dual classic's channel one is identical to the blackbird. The 30w had a thicker and warmer overdriven sound that I preferred.
